Misty Douthit
Misty Douthit is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and is the Clinical Director for Focus Mental Health Services.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Special Education in 1997, she began her teaching career in Paden, Oklahoma as a Special Education teacher/director, working with children diagnosed with many different disorders and difficulties such as Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, learning disabilities, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Before becoming an LPC, Misty also taught in Tecumseh, Konawa, and Bowlegs. Misty entered the mental health field in 2010 and is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and Play Therapy Supervisor. She also provides Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Even though Misty has more experience working with children, she also works with teenagers and adults. She individualizes her counseling modality to meet the needs of each client and offers neurofeedback, also known as EEG biofeedback, which has been proven to be highly effective for many issues, including helping with ADHD, sleeping problems, autism, and trauma.
