Rilda Smith

Rilda is a Licensed Marital, and Family Therapist (LMFT) as well as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

She is available to see clients with a wide variety of marital, family, and individual issues or concerns. As a TCK, she is especially interested in cultural transitions and third-culture concerns. She also has many years of experience working with those who are dealing with grief and loss. Rilda particularly enjoys working with people dealing with coming-of-age issues and with those who are experiencing life cycle transitions.

She provides premarital counseling using the Prepare-Enrich program. For the past 18 years, Rilda has worked extensively with young adults using a variety of theoretical approaches such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. Rilda also provides MFT supervision to Master’s Level students as well as to professionals seeking Licensure as LMFTs.

    Rilda is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. The Approved Supervisor designation identifies those professionals who have met the educational, experiential, and supervisory training requirements to supervise marriage and family therapists for AAMFT Clinical Fellow Membership.
